CityCraft is not a quilt shop. Nor is it a sewing shop. Nor is really just a fabric store. CityCraft is...well...it's a CityCraft store. It's an entity unto itself. And I'm really, really proud of that.
I am also proud to carry products by Denyse Schmidt, a designer that has really broken the mold of "traditional quilting" to breathe new life into this wonderful art form, appealing to a distinctively fresh and modern aesthetic. And that really is what quilting is: a true art form and an expression of creativity. I suppose that is why I get so angry when people try to tell me that there are "right" and "wrong" ways to quilt. BAH!
Denyse's newest line Hope Valley is making me itch with a desire to start seriously quilting - the fabric is absolutely beautiful and has the nicest hand you can imagine. (Don't worry, I don't use the word "hand" often - sounds like a snooty fabric term, but it's just an easier way to say: the way that a fabric feels to the touch, the sensory experience you get from handling a fabric.)
Not only do we have the entire Hope Valley line, but we also have the line available in fat quarter bundles AND we have all of her newest quilt patterns. I promise that you will love it.
