Free pattern from Anna Maria Horner
Callie W-L - Wednesday, May 05, 2010

One of our favorite designers, Anna Maria Horner, is sweetly sharing a pattern from her new book Handmade Beginnings for free on Amazon.com. We love this book, and we can't wait for you to check it out next time that you're in.

Our apologies for being so quiet on the blogosphere lately. We've been hard at work on a very special surprise and some big announcements...so stay tuned! We've also been hard at work finalizing our June schedule. Our May schedule of sewing classes filled up so quickly, and we have long waiting lists for classes. A little overwhelming, but incredibly refreshing how many people in Dallas are interested in sewing classes! Wow! Hopefully, we'll get it posted quickly. Thank you so much for being patient with us as we welcome hundreds of new customers thanks to our recent brush with fame :)

If you haven't been in to see us in while, get your darling self in here! We've got lots of new goodies to share with you:

- A new organic fabric line from Cloud9 called Beyond the Sea - it's just delicious
- Alexander Henry's spectacular corpse bride-themed Halloween collection "The Ghastlies" which is getting a lot of attention (check out True Up's review from Fall Quilt Market)
- AND Alexander Henry's new Zanzabelle line that answers my dream of a quilt-weight IKAT PRINT!!!
- Restocked favorites from Amy Butler, Michael Miller, and more...

The scoop on Lounge Night...
Callie W-L - Tuesday, April 20, 2010

Last Lounge Night until May 20th is THIS THURSDAY

Okey-dokey. We've hemmed and hawed over Lounge Night for quite some time. First we had Lounge Night every Monday. But Mondays didn't work well for everyone's schedules, so we moved it to Thursdays. And then the reception to Thursday night was lukewarm. What to do?

This Thursday will be the last time we hold Lounge Night once a week. Following this Thursday, Lounge Nights will move to ONCE a month, every 3rd Thursday of the month. Lounge Nights will now also be open to late-night shoppers who don't want to work on a project but want to take advantage of us being open after 6 pm. SO DON'T MISS IT THIS WEEK! Because this will be the last time we hold Lounge Night until May 20th.

As always Lounge Nights are first-come, first serve for machines and seats at the sewing tables. And, as always, complimentary wine and snacks or BYOB!

Our CityCrafters have been busy!
Callie W-L - Friday, April 16, 2010

CityCrafter Janel shared her beautifully decorated kitchen with us after making a tablecloth out of a Heather Bailey laminated cotton. We think this looks like a painting! Amazing job, Janel.

Don't miss other CityCrafter creations in the CityCrafters Flickr Group. Upload photos of your own creations made with CityCraft products. This is why we do what we do!

Have you been following us on Twitter? If not, here's what you missed this week:
